About us

Last updated February 2010

C.B.T.T. was created in 2002 to provide language courses tailored to subject-specific needs. The aim of these courses is to articulate EFL (English as a Foreign Language) closely with the teaching, in English, of disciplines such as History, Geography and related subjects. C.B.T.T.'s core public is made up of teachers in the "European sections" of French lycées, where these disciplines are partly taught in a second language such as English.

Courses are led both by EFL specialists and by experienced teachers of History and Geography, at secondary school and university level. C.B.T.T. works in partnership with the Perse School for Boys, Cambridge, and with Cambridge University's Faculty of Education. Its summer courses are funded by the French Ministry of Education (see Past Courses).
